```The SIM808 is an integrated GSM/GPRS and GPS communication module designed for applications that require both cellular connectivity and satellite positioning. It combines the functions of a 2G GSM/GPRS modem and a GPS receiver in a single compact solution.
The GSM/GPRS functionality allows the module to make and receive voice calls, send and receive SMS messages and establish GPRS data connections.
