SIM800L V2.0 GSM/GPRS Module

```
The SIM800L V2.0 is a compact GSM/GPRS communication module designed to provide cellular connectivity for microcontroller and embedded electronics projects. It uses a UART serial interface and AT commands to allow a host controller to communicate with the cellular network.
The module supports common cellular functions including SMS messaging, voice calls and GPRS packet-data communication. It can therefore be used for remote control systems, alarm notifications, telemetry, IoT devices, vehicle monitoring and other applications requiring basic mobile network connectivity.
The V2.0 breakout-board design is commonly used as an easy-to-integrate development module and typically includes supporting power regulation and a SIM interface. Exact board layout, connectors and power-input arrangements can vary between manufacturers.
Like the original SIM800L, this module relies on 2G GSM/GPRS networks. A suitable antenna and stable power source are essential, particularly because cellular transmission can produce short-duration current peaks.
