YF-S201 Water Flow Sensor

The YF-S201 is a compact Hall-effect water flow sensor designed to measure the flow rate of liquid passing through its internal turbine. As water flows through the sensor, the turbine rotates and generates electrical pulses using an integrated Hall-effect sensor.

The pulse frequency is proportional to the flow rate, allowing a microcontroller to calculate flow rate and accumulated volume through software. Its simple pulse-output interface makes the sensor easy to integrate with Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi and other control systems.

The YF-S201 is commonly used in water dispensers, irrigation systems, automated filling equipment, liquid monitoring systems, aquarium projects, smart-home applications and other projects requiring real-time water-flow measurement.
