I2C Bi-Directional Logic Level Converter 5V to 3.3V

The I2C Logic Level Converter is a compact bi-directional level-shifting module designed to allow digital devices operating at different logic voltages to communicate safely. It is commonly used to interface 5V microcontrollers such as Arduino boards with 3.3V devices, sensors, displays and other peripheral modules.

The module provides separate high-voltage and low-voltage sides, typically connected to a 5V supply and a 3.3V supply. The built-in MOSFET-based level-shifting circuitry translates digital signals in both directions, making the module particularly suitable for I2C communication where the signal direction changes during operation.

In addition to I2C, the converter can be used for other compatible low-speed digital interfaces such as UART and SPI, provided the signal speed and electrical characteristics are suitable for the particular module and application.

With its simple four-channel design and easy-to-use header connections, this module is well suited for breadboard prototyping, Arduino projects, Raspberry Pi interfaces, sensors, displays and mixed-voltage embedded systems.
