FSR402 Force Sensitive Resistor
The FSR402 is a force-sensitive resistor designed to detect changes in applied force or pressure. Its electrical resistance changes according to the amount of force applied to its sensing area, allowing a microcontroller to determine relative pressure or force using a simple voltage-divider circuit.
The sensor provides a variable analog response rather than a direct digital measurement. By connecting it to an analog input on an Arduino, ESP32 or other microcontroller, changes in resistance can be converted into a corresponding voltage and processed by software.
The FSR402 is useful for robotics, pressure-sensitive controls, interactive electronics, touch and force interfaces, musical instruments, user-input devices and projects where relative force detection is required. FSR sensors are generally better suited to detecting relative changes in force than providing highly accurate absolute force measurements.
