Compact ATmega32U4 Development Board
The Arduino Pro Micro is a compact development board based on the ATmega32U4 microcontroller. Its small size makes it ideal for projects where space is limited while still providing a useful selection of digital and analog I/O pins for connecting external components and peripherals.
Built-In USB Functionality
Unlike ATmega328P-based Arduino boards that typically use a separate USB-to-serial interface, the ATmega32U4 includes native USB functionality. This allows the Pro Micro to communicate directly with a computer and makes it particularly useful for USB Human Interface Device (HID) applications such as custom keyboards, mice, controllers and other USB input devices.
Flexible I/O
The Pro Micro provides multiple digital I/O pins, analog inputs and PWM-capable outputs for connecting sensors, LEDs, buttons, motors, displays and other electronic components. It also supports common communication interfaces including UART, I2C and SPI.
Compact Design
The compact form factor makes the Pro Micro well suited to embedded electronics, robotics, automation, wearable electronics and custom controller projects. Its pin headers can be soldered directly into a breadboard or connected to other circuits using jumper wires.
Available in Different Versions
Pro Micro boards are commonly available in 5 V / 16 MHz and 3.3 V / 8 MHz versions. Select the appropriate version based on the logic voltage and operating requirements of your project.
