ADXL335 / ADXL345 3-Axis Accelerometer Modules
These compact 3-axis accelerometer modules provide X, Y and Z axis acceleration measurements for motion, tilt, vibration and orientation-related applications. Two variants are available: the ADXL335, which provides analog voltage outputs, and the ADXL345, which provides digital acceleration data through I2C or SPI.
The ADXL335 is an analog-output accelerometer with three independent analog outputs for the X, Y and Z axes. It is well suited to microcontrollers with analog-to-digital converter inputs and applications where simple analog acceleration measurement is required.
The ADXL345 is a digital accelerometer featuring selectable measurement ranges and digital communication through I2C or SPI. It provides convenient direct digital measurements and is suitable for motion detection, orientation, vibration monitoring and robotics applications.
Both variants can be used in projects involving motion sensing, tilt detection, vibration monitoring, robotics, gesture or orientation detection and general-purpose acceleration measurement. Select the appropriate variant according to your preferred interface and measurement requirements.
